Terms of Service
1. The game
Clouted District is an online simulation game about running a fictional creator business. All platforms, brands, creators and events in the game are fictional. Nothing in the game is financial, legal or career advice.
2. Your account
Online play requires an account and an internet connection. Desktop editions also offer local careers stored on your computer; local and online progress are separate. Keep your login safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to play, and purchases by anyone under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission. One active creator per account.
3. Virtual items and currency
The game has two currencies. Clout coins (₵) are earned only by playing and cannot be bought. Gems are earned in the game or included with some packs, and are spent on cosmetics. Gems are not sold on their own and never buy energy, ₵, followers or ranking. Gems, cosmetics and passes are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use digital content in the game. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, sold, traded or exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and are not property.
The game is not a real-money game: there are no stakes, prizes or winnings of money or money’s worth, and nothing you buy improves your ranking. We may change, rebalance or retire virtual items; if we retire something you paid for, we will give you a comparable item or Gems.
4. Purchases
Prices are shown before you pay and include applicable taxes (GST in India). On the web and in the Epic build, payments are processed by Razorpay; in the Steam build, by Steam. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Refunds are covered by our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
5. Fair play
Don’t cheat, automate play, exploit bugs, harass other players, impersonate anyone, or use offensive names or content. We may warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and remove items obtained through cheating or chargebacks.
Game content and local saves
We and our licensors retain the rights to the game, artwork, music and software. Your purchase grants personal use of the applicable edition, subject to these terms and the storefront’s terms. Keep backups of local saves before uninstalling or changing computers; losing a local save may mean losing that career.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the game running but don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Game days, seasons and rules may change as the game evolves. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the game before it applies.
7. Ending your account
You can stop playing and ask us to delete your account at any time (see Privacy). Unused Gems are lost when an account is deleted, except where a refund is due under our refund policy.
8. Liability
The game is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Thanjavur have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum.
